If you want to learn more about the animals or tradition of Africa, try these activities!

Design animal masks in African tradition, and put on an Anansi play from Multi Cultural Plays for Children vol. 1 Grades k-3, by Pamela Gerke.

Kente cloth was once only made for kings. Weave your own Kente cloth, using black construction paper for the background, and colored strips for the woven pieces. Wallpaper strips would make an interesting design.

Kigogo is a game you may know as mancala. You can make your own kigogo game using egg cartons. View the process and rules. Attach two single egg cups to each end of a twelve cup egg carton. Of course you will want to decorate this with paints or markers. Collect 48 beans or stones for markers, and you will be ready to play.

Check out these websites for additional information and a game about animals.
